Presence Questions:

🌿 Idea Behind:

Presence questions aim to explore the current state of individuals, bringing attention to their experiences, emotions, and perspectives. They set the stage for a deeper connection by inviting participants to be fully present and authentic.

Why Focus on Presence:

Understanding the present moment fosters a sense of belonging and nuance. It allows for a genuine sharing of personal experiences, promoting awareness and surprise within the group.

Sample Questions:

  • What’s it like to be you (you on this team, now)?

  • What has your attention (in life, in our work as a team)?

What’s in your heart now (when you think of this team)?

  • Additional Presence Questions:

  • How would you describe the current atmosphere in your life right now?

  • What emotions are you carrying into our session today?

  • Can you share a recent experience that significantly impacted you?

  • What aspects of your present circumstances are shaping your mindset?

  • In what ways do you feel connected to the present moment?

Pocket Questions:

🌿 Idea Behind:

Pocket questions focus on value-centered wonder and encourage participants to explore possibilities, learning, and the broader narratives at play in their lives.

Why Focus on Pocket:

These questions help create integration and reset ways of noticing together, fostering a collective understanding of purpose and learning.

Sample Questions:

  • What could we (this team) also be?

  • What are you learning (about what we are attempting)?

What is the bigger story here?

  • Additional Pocket Questions:

  • What new perspectives have you gained recently that could benefit the group?

  • How do our collective goals align with your personal aspirations?

  • What opportunities for growth do you see for yourself within our team?

  • How can our shared experiences contribute to a larger narrative of success?

  • What values do you believe should guide our actions moving forward?

Pivot & Purpose Questions:

🌿 Idea Behind:

Pivot & Purpose questions guide the group back to the heart of what matters. They allow for broad curiosity and then pivot to more localized sense-making, aligning individual and collective goals.

Why Focus on Pivot & Purpose:

These questions provide permission for curiosity, encouraging participants to explore connections between personal experiences and the overarching purpose of the group.

Sample Questions:

  • What’s that got to do with what we are doing (learning, becoming)?

  • What is one thing you appreciate (about this team, this time), and why?

What is something that brings you alive in your life these days, and what might that have to do with what we are doing here?

  • Additional Pivot & Purpose Questions:

  • How does your individual growth contribute to the collective purpose of our group?

  • Can you identify a recent pivot in your mindset that aligns with our shared goals?

  • What personal strengths do you bring that serve the purpose of our collaboration?

  • In what ways do you see your journey aligning with the greater purpose of our team?

  • How can your unique perspective contribute to the collective understanding of our purpose?

Jedi Questions (Wizard Questions):

🌿 Idea Behind:

Jedi Questions aim to move energy in a group, often to get unstuck, by focusing on basic human feelings that appreciate and energize. They are designed to bring positivity and momentum.

Why Focus on Jedi:

These questions acknowledge achievements, instill pride, and bring joy to the forefront, creating an uplifting atmosphere within the group.

Sample Questions:

  • What is something you love about what we are doing?

  • What is something you are proud of here?

What is something that brought you joy in your day?

  • Additional Jedi Questions:

  • Reflect on a recent success or accomplishment that you are excited about.

  • Share a moment when you felt a strong sense of pride in our collective achievements.

  • What positive changes have you observed in yourself since joining this group?

  • How do you envision spreading joy and positivity within our team?

  • Identify a small win that made a significant impact on your day recently.

We'd love to hear from you!

Your voice matters, and your contributions will enrich our collective journey of growth and connection.

Please share your insights, discoveries, and new wisdoms for the tribe.

All the best!

Cory
